{ DailyDevo: Working Out of Rest - J. Prince }

"For we have believed, adhered, trusted and relied on God,
do enter that rest which He has promised."

Hebrews 4:3 // WordRemix: Amp, Good News

-----

Naturally speaking, when we rest, we don’t work. So what does working out of rest mean? Well, let me explain by sharing with you what the Lord had taught me.

Many years ago, when I first started preaching, I would prepare diligently for all my sermons. I fine-tuned my points and made sure that everything was in place. I would think to myself, “Man, I am going to share this... and that…”

But when I preached, I would forget to mention certain points. Because of that, I would get angry with myself. I would tell myself, “That was such a good point. Why didn’t I remember to share it?”

Then, God began to speak to me. He said, “Son, your preaching is not out of rest. It is out of your memory.” What He said next changed my life, not just in the area of preaching, but also in every other area, and I pray that it will bless you too. He said, “Prepare everything you need to. But when you stand in front of the people, whatever you need to say, I will give to you.”

Yes, there must be preparation, whether it is your sermon or sales presentation. I am not telling you to be lazy and just do nothing. You need to prepare, but don’t depend on your preparation. Just trust God and tell yourself that whatever you forget, God wants it forgotten. And whatever you didn’t plan to say but said, it is because God wanted it said. Don’t be stressed out and lose your rest by thinking, “I must know everything! I must remember everything and do everything I have prepared!”

No, believe God and be at rest. When the time comes, whatever you need to know, there and then, God will let you know. Whatever you don’t need to know, you don’t need to know. And don’t worry about what you didn’t say — believe that God didn’t want it said.

My friend, when you live life like that — trusting God and resting in His love for you — you become cool and collected. And when you are peaceful and at rest in Him, what you do prospers!

{ Am I not everywhere? }

"Can anyone hide from me in a secret place?
Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?”
says the Lord."

Jeremiah 23:24 (NLT)

{ DailyDevo: Look Unto Jesus }

 "Looking away from all that will distract to Jesus,
fixing and keeping our eyes on Him,
the leader and champion, who initiates and is the source of our faith,
making it complete,
giving the first incentive for our belief,
finishing and bringing it to maturity and perfection.
He endures the cross, ignoring and disregarding the shame.
Because He knew that later on of the joy awaiting Him,
And that He would be glad He did.
Now He is seated in the place of honor, at the right side of God’s throne."

Hebrews 12:2 (Amp, Common Eng, Contempt Eng, NLT)

-----

Yes, it is that simple. The problem with us is that we tend to look unto ourselves. But we cannot save or deliver ourselves. Even the apostle Paul struggled when he depended on his self-effort. That is why he said, “For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.” (Romans 7:19) It was only when Paul looked away from himself and unto Jesus that he received his deliverance. (Romans 7:24–25)

My friend, if you have been looking unto yourself, it is time to start looking unto Jesus. Look unto Him, the author and finisher of your faith. And soon, you will be looking at your healing and provision!

{ DailyDevo: It's Coming - J. Osteen }

“...Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come...”

Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)
-----

If you will keep God first in everything you do, He promises that He is going to crown your efforts with success. Because you diligently seek Him, a reward is coming. Favor is coming. Good breaks are coming. Promotion is coming. A shift is coming. Healing is coming. Restoration is coming. It may seem like it’s taking a long time; you may feel like you’ve been holding on forever, but keep holding on. The promise will be fulfilled through faith and patience.

Waiting doesn’t mean do nothing; it means get prepared. Now is the time to get ready. God doesn’t want you to live an average, ordinary life. Because you depend on Him, He is going to increase you. You are going to bear much fruit. He is going to make you more productive. You’re going to get more done in less time. He is going to make your life easier and take you where you could not go on your own. It’s going to be greater than you ever even dreamed of. Get ready because it’s coming — every promise you’ve stood in faith for, every dream He’s placed in your heart that you’ve contended for is coming to fruition in Jesus’ name!

{ A Man & His Idols | Spoken Word }

{ What could you ever trade your soul for? }

"Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you? What could you ever trade your soul for?"

{ Love like this... }

Husbands, you must love your wives so deeply, purely, and sacrificially that we can understand it only when we compare it to the love the Anointed One has for His bride, the church. We know He gave Himself up completely to make her His own, washing her clean of all her impurity with water andthe powerful presence of His word.

{ DevoRepost: Today’s Bread Is Not For Tomorrow }

"Give us this day our daily bread..."

Matthew 6:11

-----

Beloved, when tomorrow comes, the bread — provision and grace — will be there. I am not advocating laziness and inactivity. By all means, do your homework, but don’t worry about it. Just trust the One who wants you to give Him all your cares (1 Peter 5:7), and enjoy His peace and life today!

{ DevoRepost: Getting Quiet }

“Be still, and know that I am God...”

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)

-----

Today, make it a point to be still before God. Quiet your mind of all the things on your agenda and just focus on Him. Let Him love you, let Him speak to your heart, and let Him fill you with peace and strength each and every day.

{ Don't fight it - J. Osteen }

{ Family of Sisterhoood & Godchicks }

The more I see how God is moving in the precious lives of my family of God chicks, it just brings me to joyful tears how faithful and magnificent His hand and heart of grace is for every single one of them. How obsessed He is with their secret desires and callings that He has planned and breathed upon since day one.

My soul cries out for His unmerited and amazing miracles, that constantly grabs a firm hold of their eyes and ears which cannot comprehend the unthinkable and the possible that only He can do. As our journeys were once so close, He has decided for each and every one of us to venture out even deeper. Taking us to leap, measures and heights that only the bold and courageous in spirit can go to.

It is not by natural one would emote this way, but rather in the supernatural of how big is our view of our Father. For grace always brings something extra to our ordinary, and He started with Jesus.

Just extremely grateful for their lifes which constantly inspires mine, making me think that God is indeed moving, in front and behind the scenes. Nothing can quite stop what Grace has set forth, not even a force of any kind and battle with an unforced rhythm that sweeps and wipes out anything that stands or come against it’s way.

How irrevocable and unchanging His divine plans are for us, and all we simply have to do, is just be daring enough to be led by Him to pastures and promise lands which no one has stumbled upon. And the reason so, is that it was prepared for just a special and anointed someone, which is you – whom you know who you are.

So as He changes up the lives of this glorious bond, His kingdom and will shall be made known to those around us. And it only comes to fullness, in and through each and everyone of them. How blessed and grateful one is, to be alongside these generational changers, movers and shakers of the upcoming army called ben.

Besides Him who is your biggest cheerleader, I am simply waving my pom poms and super excited for the unthinkable in the making. And this is just the start of His magnificence.

{ Don't bargain with God . Just be direct & ask! }

"How much more will your heavenly Father, who is even more ready, to give the Holy Spirit to all who ask and continue to ask Him..."

Luke 11:13 (WordRemix: Amp, Contempt Eng, NLT, The Voice)

-----

“Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing—you’re at least decent to your own children. And don’t you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?”

Luke 11:10-13 (The Msg)

{ Your Presence Is Heaven (Israel & New Breed Cover) - Cristabel Clack }

{ DevoRepost: The blood alone saves - J. Prince }

"Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you…"

Exodus 12:13

-----

My friend, don’t add to God’s conditions. He said, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you.” He did not say, “When I see the blood, plus your understanding, efforts, obedience, faithfulness and refusal to give in to fear, then I will pass over you.”

It is the blood of Jesus alone that delivers you. If you think that it is because of your faith, then you will always be wondering, “Do I have enough faith?” No my friend, it is His blood alone that saves. And when God sees that you see that it is the blood alone that saves, He calls that faith in the blood, and every plague will pass over you!

God wants you to know that it is Jesus’ blood alone that saves because every time you think that your deliverance depends partly on God and partly on you, you will not have a settled peace in your heart. But when you know that it is the blood alone that saves, you will have an unshakable peace.

{ DevoRepost: Stayed on Him - J. Osteen }

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

-----

If you’ll acknowledge God in all you do, He promises to go before you and make the crooked places straight. That means He will cause the right people to show up. He will open doors that you could not open. He will crown your efforts with success.

Acknowledging God isn’t something we should just do every once in a while. He should always be on your mind. Think about two people when they are first dating. They are so enthralled with one another that no matter what they are doing, they are thinking about the other person. Well, that’s how we should be with God. First thing in the morning when you wake up, you should acknowledge Him, while you’re getting ready, while you’re driving, and all throughout the day. Don’t let the distractions of this temporary world take your focus. Be determined to make your relationship with the Father your highest priority. Keep your mind stayed on Him, and He will direct your steps!

{ DevoRepost: See The Abundance Within You - J. Prince }

There is no use saying, ‘Look! Here it is' or ‘Look! There it is.’ For behold, God’s kingdom is already here within you, in your hearts, and among you, surrounding you.

Luke 17:21 (WordRemix: Amp, Contempt Eng, NLT)

-----

When you were younger, were you often scolded for not finishing all your food or leaving the lights and fan on when you left your room? Were you constantly reminded that there are people starving in the world, that electricity costs a lot of money and that money doesn’t grow on trees? Now, do you find yourself telling your child the same things?

We are naturally conscious of lack, but Jesus isn’t. Even in the midst of lack, He was always conscious of abundance. Remember the little boy’s five loaves and two fish? What did Jesus do when these were placed in His hands? Did He say, “What do you expect Me to do with so little?” No, His eyes were not on the natural, the visible, the lack. His eyes were on the kingdom of God where there is always abundance. So in His hands, the little boy’s lunch was multiplied, and 5,000 men, not counting women and children, were fed that day! (John 6:1–13)

God doesn’t want you to be conscious of the lack in your natural circumstances. He doesn’t want you to live by how much you earn or how much you have in the bank. Now, I am not encouraging you to spend foolishly beyond your means. I am saying that God wants you to be conscious of the abundance of resources in His kingdom.

“But Pastor Prince, where is that kingdom?”

As long as you have received Jesus as your Savior, that kingdom is in you!

Jesus said that “the kingdom of God is within you”. This means that the kingdom of God is not some physical place. It is within you and it is where the abundance of resources is. So if you want to experience abundance in your life, be conscious first of the abundance inside you. Then, what is inside you will become a reality on the outside.

Beloved, God doesn’t want you to be conscious of the lack you see outside you. He wants you to be conscious of the abundance within you because His kingdom is within you!

{ DevoRepost: Ask Him for Help - J. Osteen }

“So Judah gathered together to ask help from the LORD...”

2 Chronicles 20:4 (NKJV)

One way to acknowledge God is to simply ask for His help. That simple acknowledgement is an act of faith. It opens the door for Him to direct your steps, even in the little things. God will help you find what you may not have found. He will put you at the right place at the right time. And sure, you can do this without God’s help. You can do it in your own strength. But when you learn to hear His voice in the little things, you’ll be confident to hear Him in the big things. When you acknowledge God, He breathes His favor on you. You’ll come into an anointing of ease. What should have been a struggle won’t be a struggle. That’s God crowning your efforts with success.

{ DevoRepost: In All Things - J. Osteen }

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV)

-----

God wants to help you in life. Not just in the big things, but in every detail. He wants to help you when you’re cooking dinner or driving in traffic. He wants to help you with your schoolwork, help you be more productive at the office, even help you find what you’re looking for when you’re at the store.

The key is that God will only be involved as much as you allow Him to be. Don’t just invite Him into your day on Sunday. Don’t just ask Him about the big things. Learn to hear His voice in the little things. He is big enough to handle every single detail.

Scripture says, “Acknowledge God in all of your ways.” Not some of your ways. Not just the big things — in all things. If you’ll start acknowledging God in all of your ways, He will crown your efforts with success.

{ DevoRepost: The Head And Not The Tail }

"And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath…}
Deuteronomy 28:13

-----

Beloved, when God makes you the head, you will end up on top of your circumstances. Consider the story of Joseph. (Genesis 39) Even when he was a slave, he was the head and not the tail because God prospered everything that he did.

“But Pastor Prince, when I look at my life, there are times when I am up and there are times when I am down. Yet, the Bible says that I will be above only. I don’t understand this.”

What you are going through is only temporal. Keep believing that you are above only and not beneath, even when you have hit rock bottom. It is God who always causes you to triumph in Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:14) You cannot cause yourself to triumph. Only God can and He has promised in His Word that you will be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. So believe His Word in spite of your circumstances and expect to see victory

{ DevoRespost: Remember Your Victories - J. Osteen }

Remember what the LORD your God did...”

Deuteronomy 24:9 (NIV)

-----

I’ve learned that the more you brag on God’s goodness, the more of God’s goodness you’re going to see. When you go around saying to people, “Let me tell you what God did for me”, you begin to see more of His goodness in your life. The Psalmist said, “I recall the many miracles God has done for me. I cannot stop thinking about them. They are constantly in my thoughts.”

Too many times, people today, instead of remembering their victories, they’re remembering their defeats, failures or disappointments. You’ve got to switch over and, like the Psalmist, start remembering the times God protected you; the times God showed you favor; the times God made a way when it looked like there was no way. That’s going to cause faith and expectancy to rise in your heart. You’ll have the confidence that if God did it for you back then, He can certainly do it for you right now.

I encourage you, remember your victories. Tell your children. Tell your neighbors. Tell your friends. Keep bragging on the goodness of God and move forward in the victory He has in store for you!

{ DevoRepost: See Your Enemies Flee Because Of Jesus - J. Prince }

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

Deuteronomy 28:7

-----

As a child of God, you exude a spiritual fragrance which evil spirits can detect and which causes them to tremble. It is the life of Jesus inside you. And He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) That is why no curse, spell, accusation, scandal or destruction planned against you can succeed. Your enemies may come against you one way, but the Lord will confuse them and cause them to flee before you seven ways!

Jesus paid with His life to give you this victory over your enemies. After His arrest in the garden of Gethsemane, the Jews and Gentiles were united for the first time with one common objective: Torture Jesus and have Him killed. King Herod of the Jews and Pontius Pilate of the Romans were long-time enemies, but because of Jesus, they became friends. (Luke 23:12)

My friend, Jesus’ enemies were united and had “victory” over Him. But because He triumphed over them through the cross and rose again, today, your enemies will be scattered and you will have victory over them!

{ Losing Weight. }

and a huge weight has been lifted off... so this is what freedom taste like... and is just the beginning for more to come.

not such a bad thing for boldness and courage. kinda of the sort where the israelites had the red sea staring right in front of them, and a temped of aggressive soldiers wanting their heads, unyet they carried on in faith.

this must be the best weight loss program. hopefully that includes my mos burger and coldstone treats.

{ Prayer before the battle. }

Lord Jesus, as I enter this workplace,
I bring your presence with me.

I speak your peace, your grace, and your perfect order into the atmosphere of this office.

I acknowledge your lordship over all that will be spoken, thought, decided, and accomplished within these walls.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gifts you have deposited in me. I do not take them lightly, but commit to using them responsibly and well.

Give me a fresh supply of truth and beauty on which to draw as I do my job. Anoint my creativity, my ideas, my energy, so that even my smallest task may bring you honor.

Lord, when I am confused, guide me. When I am weary, energize me.

Lord, when I am burned out, infuse me with the light of your Holy Spirit.

May the work that I do and the way I do it bring hope, life, and courage to all that I come in contact with today.

And, Oh Lord, even in this day’s most stressful moment, may I rest in you.

In the mighty name that is above all names, in the Matchless Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus I pray. Amen.

{ DevoRespost: God Uses The Weak To Confound The Mighty - J. Prince }

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.

1 Corinthians 1:27

-----

When you are faced with a big challenge, do you automatically look for the most powerful means to solve the problem? Well, my friend, that is not thinking the way God thinks. The Bible tells us that it pleases God to use what the world considers weak, foolish, base and despised to bring to nothing things which are mighty.

“What is that in your hand?” God asked.

“A rod,” Moses said. And with that rod, he performed miracles and confounded the might of Pharaoh.

“Five loaves and two fish,” a little boy said. And with that little boy’s lunch, Jesus fed 5,000 men, and his disciples gathered 12 baskets full of leftovers.

“The jawbone of an ass,” Samson said. And with that, he slew a thousand Philistines, who were the enemies of God’s people.

“Five stones and a sling,” said David the shepherd boy. And with one of his stones and the sling, he brought down Goliath, the mighty Philistine champion.

My friend, don’t despise what seems weak and insignificant to the world. God can use them to bring down the giants in your life!

{ DevoRepost: Be Anxious For Nothing - J. Prince }

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6–7

God is true to His Word. As you pray this prayer and cast your care to Him, you will find His peace setting your heart and mind at rest. So be anxious for nothing — let the One with whom nothing is impossible take care of it for you!

{ DevoRepost: See The Work Accomplished - J. Prince }

"So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."

John 19:30

-----

What do you see when it comes to healing for your sick body, restoration for your failing marriage or breakthroughs for your financial woes? Do you see a finished work or a work that is yet to be completed?

God wants you to know that what you desperately need Him to do for you has already been done! Jesus’ finished work at the cross so satisfied the Father’s heart that from heaven’s throne came the pronouncement, “It is done!” (Revelation 16:17) in response to Jesus’ cry, “It is finished!” on earth. So God wants you to have this revelation that whatever you need Him to do for you has already been done because Jesus has accomplished it all for you.

If you need healing, know that your healing has been accomplished. If you need restoration for your marriage, know that your restoration has been accomplished. You are not going to die from any lack — you have been abundantly supplied. All these things have been accomplished, not by you, but by Christ alone!

My friend, if you are bothered by a pain in your body, God wants you to see your healing finished or accomplished for you by His Son’s death on the cross. If it is a loss or debt you face, or a certain sin that you are struggling with, believe that your provision, restoration and deliverance have been accomplished for you.

Don’t worry about what you see or feel, or the presence of contradicting reports. These are lying symptoms and though they may seem very real, they are temporal and not the truth. God’s Word is the truth and it will remain because it is eternal. And when you believe that only what God’s Word says about your situation is the truth, all the lying symptoms will eventually have to line up with His Word.

God the Son says, “It is finished!”

God the Father says, “It is done!”

What do you say?
