We call Abraham “father” not because he got God’s attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody.

 Isn’t that what we’ve always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, “I set you up as father of many peoples”?

Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing.

When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do.

And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples. God himself said to him, “You’re going to have a big family, Abraham!”


when God calls forth seeds of greatness in us, it goes to show that those seeds were already planted and grown in His eyes despite what we yet to see. and all we need to right now, is just be rather than do -- because what God sees in existence, is already alive and breathing.

When David wrote this verse, He was in a very difficult situation – He was actually running for his life from his very own son who wanted to kill him and take over his throne.

Can you imagine?! David was probably feeling overwhelmed, distraught, heartbroken, betrayed and abandoned.

But notice that David didn’t just tell the Lord all about his problems. He told the Lord about his faith when he said, “But You, God, are a shield around me...” David made the choice to focus on God’s goodness no matter what.

We have to remember, circumstances may be tough, but God is working behind the scenes on your behalf.
Things may look impossible today, BUT WITH GOD, all things are possible!

despite all our failures, He wants us not to remain cringing or condemned about our mistakes, but rather allowing Him to grow us in the very area we are lacking at. not only He turns our weaknesses into strengths, but also cause us to use it as a weapon for His glory. that is how He works --

He does not throw away rotten apples like the world, and deem it as a lost cause, but He cuts off the rotten bits and uses it again to prove to those voice of reasons that He is the hope to all humanity.

even with every slipup, it is how we pick ourselves up that determines the success in our journey. He does not only celebrate when we succeed, but when we have the courage to continue the journey He has called us in. our walk with Him cannot be tainted, penetrated, changed stopped.

What He deems irrevocable will remain so – love it how He has the final say in everything.

been praising to this song since forever back home, (and home meaning good ol' WA), and the lyrics of this song started to dawn upon not only my head, but heart of hearts -- sipping through and refining every human characteristic trait there is, and being overwhelmed in what He has called for us to be...

the channel of His compassion, His kindness, His saving grace, His mercy, His love that never once has failed, His very representative of hope to the nations...

that despite what the world or people who are close say or do, we do more than turn the other cheek when the intense relationship or criticism starts vomiting in. rather so, we allow them to experience the unexpected yet expected of what He has already equipped and transformed us to be...

sons and daughters of the ever living God, who are so secured in their unchangeable and untainted identity -- that when offense appears, grace and mercy also appears.

and one must not stop when there is a road block, as they are just storms which will lift us right up then the usual stationery position on the ground. He wants to take us higher, to levels that only He can take us.

love how a precious sister, M, who have always said the most anointed and encouraging thing in this grace journey of mine. and it divinely happens in times where one needs it the very most. bless your heart and soul for your words of gold and being expectant with me. since that makes the two of us, He's already working within and behind the scenes.

and as you graciously reminded me, it is because of our very undeserved state that He has called us which is irrevocable, nothing of us can ever change the destiny that He have birthed forth. one's faith learns to rest and fix my eyes on above instead of straight ahead.

Despite the shortcomings of our failures, they are just external. In this case, notes and lyrics.

Sometimes the hardest critics are of our own voices. Just felt like an ultimate let down for the entire team, as one’s heavy mistake have spread through all else.

But when He gently interferes, He comes in as a faint whisper, and reassures us with His heart as a Father who have redeemed us

Freedom starts to jump forth, chains of regrets and condemnation are being broken, and eyes on one’s limitation are now looking at help from above.

Anointing is all we ever want when we serve the King and His people – which cannot be taught by the greatest talent out there, but it can definitely be freely given by the greatest Performer there ever is.

He did the ultimate show as a servant King on the very cross itself. From royalty to rags drenched with His own blood bled to and for an audience.

I wanna flow in the rhythms of His grace and be so caught in it where nothing and no one can ever separate and penetrate.

Let the redeemed of the Lord says so.

{ Greatness in the Midst of Criticism. Pt. 2 }

this not just a lesson that is a hit for the first or second time, and then you give yourself some self-justification in a form of a pat on the back. it is a constant value that needs to be implemented on a daily basis -- especially during those testing period of intense relationships with the ones who are exceptionally close.

not saying that one is pros even when it is practiced most of the time, because no one at their own righteous mind-set deserves what He has gracefully (without a doubt) given to us. just as we are freely forgiven, and if one truly knows the heart of our Saviour King, it will birth forth into a continuous action rather than just a good verse to say amen to.

still working in progress with this one, and it is a divine lesson due to a current and a couple of other past experiences of dealing with hurt and absence of relationship values from the ones whom you completely did not cross your mind in doing so – and the scary thing is that they do not even realize, reasons with a need to change only at the other party’s end and conjures this narcissistic thinking of one being “left behind”.

to say that to one’s very own personal walk with Him is beyond criticism which the recipient of that strong statement is left speechless. ironic as one is also hit with the comment of being fault finding in other’s own journey as well which never once was practiced. honestly, that is one of the few areas that i would never place a judgement or own two cents about. the only person rightfully to judge is Him and He does not even go there.

funny how people are so centered in their own shoes rather than ever using a moment or two to see how would it be like to be in another pair. and to think they conquered it once, they have this security in their right doing for that time, building up a wall of confidence that they are almost there and not knowing it’s a continuous action when faced with difficult situations.

have realized that what people are so aware of in others, is actually brewing in their very own area of concern such as sensitivity or building a wall up. what they so firmly believe in that is in the other party has unknowingly being eternalized in their own character and thinking. what you feed on is what it will manifest. yes, it is a battle of being insecurity which everyone has different levels of dealing with it.

it is erroneous to think there are deeper issues that one have without a hint of discernment among what seems obvious. there is a difference when men look unto their wide knowledge or experiences comparative to what He can reveal.

to be blowing up for being assumed at with a question, and yet doing just the same but with a statement this time hits the ‘personal’ zone very intensely. and with that caused one to look forth what is really going on which everything was let out to begin with.

after weeks of seeking Him about it, it has brought forth a sense of not ever basing on anyone’s affirmation or thoughts towards us – despite being good or bad, have learnt to not say the “right” thing to soothe the ears of another, and to not change for anybody.

everything that has surfaced has already been transparent, and yet putting forth a assurance of being ‘more than’ just as it is is a lack of judgement on truly knowing one’s heart. that can be easily said comparative to putting it in action, and unfortunately it does not match up. one has been more than real in situations that only He would know, yet being doubted is a question to put forth in a relationship and what it stands on.

people remember your words because it has either created a dent or lift. in both cases, it carries power and changes the direction of situations. even blind freddy can tell the severity of this one which in this case goes to show that if one never learns, they never will. being aware of one’s own actions and faults is not one to change by their own strength but rather surrendering it entirely to Him to refine and mould -- Men’s fire leaves you burnt, but God’s fire leaves you unharmed and polished.

with the many experiences of tension from another female party does not lie on the one experiencing it, but rather on the one who is giving it out. no point trying to pacify them as they are not stable in their own identity and hence sabotages others who are -- and this comes in a very subtle and indirect form. one even dares to question your longitivty and quality of friendships with the rest of the sisterhood which in this case, have backfired.

It is very easy to finger point, find faults and blind spotting on others, but that is not what He has called us all to do. there is a difference when correction is done in love and you know when it is do by how it is let out and received by the other party. listening is also very vital and listening with grace rather than always waiting for one to finish and quickly come in like a kid on fire.

learnt that even if we have the goodness in our hearts, but it comes of wrong, it is still wrong – execution of His grace is birthed from being secured from it hence it produces right living. it is not only about the inside but likewise for the outside. one needs to be mindful of what is put forth externally as it is only Him who knows our heart and no one else.

the number of people who have hurt me were not ones that were from a distant but rather of close proximity and relations. ones that your wall is completely down, trust is at full reign and giving is never ending because never a doubt you would think that they of all people can cause such a wound among the circle of love and encouragement -- instead of killing me (though it may have felt like death), it has made me stronger.

though all this, forgiveness is key to an offense creating an antidote to the wound. and it is not just a one off solution but rather a relentless one to be conscious of. and wisdom is to see whether if it is time to stay or move on. and like He has already promised, whatever new He is prepping, I am ready. because one is tired of the old wine skin.

this would be the very last of any mention of this – even nice people have limits. have learnt from an ample of situations where the word enough is at its end of being capped and bold. time to rise above your neighbour’s affirmation and expectations and remove all forms of toxic relationships.

soul detox has already begun.

and where would I be without the security of Him telling me “who I am, and Whose I am” (k. vallotton).

when we start settling knowing He has the best for us as an option and not a mere dream, it does not taste as good as what one may imagine. the prolonged cravings are gutted with a blend flavor and ruining your taste buds due to a poor choice and regrets of not taking the best He has to offer -- which was by the way, all along at arm's length and not tucked away in a corner.

we are not destined to settle -- because He did that once and for all at the cross when He cried out those three words that changed and shifted our eternal destiny. and especially not with the aftermath of what He has already done for us. for He died for the worse of the worse, so that now we can have the best of the very best (repost rev).

and best does not mean of what our limited spaces can endure, but rather what He usually does that no human genius of a mind can conjure up. we truly do not understand the severity of what above and beyond can do besides the One who oversees everything.

and to think for a second that His best for us is just as easy as grabbing and receiving what He has to offer, compared to what we think that is unreachable to one's hands. no more second best and hand me downs, for one is loved and not pre-loved to any condition or standards.

it is time for Him to make it happen instead of our own. it is time to receive than achieve. it is time to let God be God then just letting go. and it is time to give Him a shot of what He has to truly offer that is far beyond what one can dare to hope and dream.

{ Quality Time. }

today has started off with relationships that means alot to me because it has always came from a place of love and comfort of being in one's own skin and never fault finding. the realness and heart of one is exposed and valued which is rare to find and will definitely cherish as it is compared to finding a one of a kind gem.

truly thank God for family, who are the number one blessing and will continue to be in our lives. these are the people whom He has called forth as a constant support system whom you know you do not need to count on, because they are already there without being asked. love is spread out in many many ways both in the receiving and giving end making home a place of a safe haven and rest.

another group of awesome kingdom friendships since the start when i moved here, is a bunch where one have prayed for and desired before stepping into His awesome house besides a ministry to serve in. oh the moments of our epic "we are young" episodes are one that we never tire to mention and laugh viciously at. seeing how God has grown us and kept us close despite of our different journeys, is one that i can truly see His centeredness in all of our relationships.

to start the month with the presence of both groups is just so comforting without any hidden tension, agendas and miscommunication that one may experience in other relationships. and He definitely knows my love language which is quality and anointed time though the ones whom He has divinely placed me with. just extremely thankful for all these precious souls who i am already doing life with, and cannot wait to see what more He has to come for all of us.

ps: fluffy is not biblical. and yes mum, at least one of us are hoping.

let my worship be one that lifts You up higher,

{ Shedding the old while He puts on the new. }

what a day to end the month of august. have learnt one thing, to never give up even when you hit a delay or road block which may cause a temporary detour. though it may take slightly longer, you will eventually get there.

going to apply that very same thing to all areas of my life, especially the ones where i may find lacking or weak at. have learnt to sometimes do the opposite and go beyond the "i feel like" moments and emotions.

the fruit for this month comes in many forms, and some are even wake up calls that pertains to one's character, heart, gifting and new journey that He is taking me on -- and one that does not involve anyone but Him who graces, refines and loves unconditionally.

He told me something during worship before an awesome heartfelt message from Ps. D, and something that one was blown away and thinking "wow, really God?" assuming in my limited mind space that this was the best as it is -- but sure He has greater and better installed already.

seasonal is one word i use to be so afraid of, but now, it is slowly getting in there with an increased amount of excitement on what He is going to do next. however and wherever and whoever, i know and i know and i, know, that is going to be good.

because the heart of the Father always wants the best for His children. and though we may question and pull out the "sure or nots" (in singaporean accent), He gently looks at us, and not only tell us "sure" but shows it as well.
