Songs does not only evoke emotions, but it unlocks your memory bank of the different seasons one was at. Your history is revisited when the track is played at the present moment, leaving you a sense of how He has brought you from where you were, to where you are now.
Though the places and people changes from time to time, it does develop a sense of thanksgiving of the good times shared with the moments He divinely placed us at. And one is rather overwhelmed by His wonders through it all.
