{ A culture of saving grace instead of saving face. }

"if you always see perfection, you will never see grace."

it is okay to admit that we do not have it all together. being in a environment of knowing the "right thing" to say as we have mostly heard all the text book answers, is hard to receive a different response, or more so, the actual thoughts and feelings that one close to you may not think it could have come out from you, and yet Grace knows.

He is authentic that way, knowing our real motives beyond all the fluff. realize that if we create this culture of "saving face" instead of saving Grace, then we might need to rethink again what Grace came down for. because He also have given us Grace to make mistakes, or more so lessons in our lives, that will in turn become our very successes, transforming our weakness into strengths, ashes into beauty.

we need to make His people feel comfortable, the world needs authentic worship and righteous living. not in the way that demands perfection, but rather, depends on Grace which in turn supplies it. to think we yet chained down by our own expectations and critical mindset (preaching to thyself btw), there is freedom when one comes out of it, and that way, acceptance is realized in our flaws.

perfection creates boundaries, it shouts "you're not good enough", where else Jesus has just two open arms for us to run in, and says "my grace is more than enough.". it is time to break that stained glass masquerade, and let Grace run the show. this way, the world will experience relationship over religion.

"so Lord, have Your way, because mine is not even close to perfect. and that was exactly what drew Your grace in. not in our "light" but in the dark. not only You carried our sins, but carried ourselves to the cross, and brought us home again. here's to our Bridegroom rejoicing over the bride. (isaiah 62:5)

-----

Revelation 22:17
The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost.
