{ Kris's 10 survival tips for life }

1. Don't make important decisions when you are tired. Sleep on it.

2. Don't talk when you are angry. You will feel differently when you calm down.

3. Get advise from someone who has success in the area you are making a decision in, whenever you are making a important life choice. Don't take advice from people who can't make their advice work in their own lives.

4. Find someone to follow who is following Jesus and is more mature than you and give them permission to speak freely into your life. And then LISTEN... don't defend yourself.

5. Don't take yourself too seriously. Learn to laugh at yourself when you do something dumb.

6. Don't compare yourself to anyone except Jesus. You will never be as good at being someone else as they are at being themselves. Be an original. And if you feel good about yourself because you are better than someone else than your righteousness is relative... not root in Christ.

7. Forgive people quickly (even if they wronged you on purpose). Life is too short to hold grudges. Bitterness will make you ugly.

8. Be extravagantly generous. It will eventually come back to bless you.

9. Have a 100 vision. Consider how your life is effecting those yet to be born.

10. Don't worry about what people think who don't know you. But listen to wise people who do know you. You aren't necessarily being misunderstood when someone disagrees with you.
